Great Password Managers, Your Credentials and How Safe and Good Are They?
Ever wondered why there are so many hacks and data breaches? Believe it or not, most hacks and data breaches occur due to stolen credentials according to Verizon’s 2019 Data Breach Investigations Report. Far too many people believe they are safe with the 123456, password, 12345678 and other extremely poor passwords, set on all the services they use. All it takes is one service to be breached and credentials, along with your email address, stolen and hackers are off to the races.
If you want to make life easy, use a password manager that sync’s all your passwords across your computers, browsers and mobile devices, making using very strong passwords easy! I’d recommend LastPass or Keeper. One strong password to remember with set it and forget it passwords for all your services, all different and never any worry that it could cause issues if a service gets breached.
Want to check to see if your email address or addresses have been part of known breaches, check out Have I Been Pwned. This will tell you if your email address and the password you used on the site(s) are known to the hacker community.
Want to test your password strength safely and securely, check out My1Login’s password strength checker. It is a great tool to see how good your password(s) is/are.
